If you would like to enter the Tourism Awards and would like hints and tips please join us at one of our interactive workshops where we will be sharing experiences and advice on what makes an excellent, award winning business, with tips and ideas on how to be the best in the forthcoming tourism awards. Click on the links below to book your place for £40. They are taking place across the region.
Last year's workshops achieved a feedback rating of 95% excellent or good and we're hoping to match (or exceed) this, with new content to reflect the new shorter entry forms and online entry process.
Speakers will include:
Robin Barker and/or Nell Barrington from Services for Tourism
Award winners - who will share their experiences
The event will include photos, anecdotes and experiences, with plenty of photographic examples. There will be lots of opportunity for questions, discussion and sharing of ideas.
Specific areas we will cover include:
Digital - what makes an excellent website?
Social - what is impressive, and what disappoints?
Welcome - things judges will notice, and be impressed by
Service - what is 'going the extra mile'?
Responsible & Sustainable - how do you look after staff, the local community, and plastics?
Accessible & Inclusive - are you genuinely open to all?
What is innovative marketing?
Your USP - what makes you different?
The awards - and how they work
Our aim is to help you become even more excellent - and give you the best chances of being an award winner.
Tea, coffee and a light lunch will be included.
